Saturday, 23 Aug 2025 | Garmin MTB ClassicLocation: Northern Farm, Diepsloot Distances: 50 km | 35 km | 20 km | 10 km kiddies ride Why Ride: Experience one of Gauteng’s favourite trail races on Northern Farm’s singletrack playground. Flowing routes, reversing the normal trail direction, offer a fresh challenge for everyone. |

🏆 Race Recap: Saffas at the World Cup
During the mid‑season UCI World Cup stop in Pal Arinsal, Andorra (9–13 July 2025), South Africa’s cross‑country specialists tested themselves against the world’s best on the steep, high‑altitude course. Alan Hatherly fought back from a mid‑pack start to finish 29th, 3 min 51 s. Britain’s Tom Pidcock dominated the men’s XCO, riding away from Luca Martin and Charlie Aldridge. In the women’s race, Candice Lill rode consistently; she placed 16th in the XCO event, finishing 4 min 12 s down on winner Samara Maxwell. Although off the podium, both Hatherly and Lill showed solid form in the thin Andorran air as they geared up for the late‑season World Cup rounds.
